Roger takes security seriously, especially when it comes to handling payments. That's why we require verification for every company before unlocking the ability to make a payment through Roger, as well as an identity verification for every coworker who wants to add a payment source.
There are two types of verification: user and company. Both the account owner as well as each administrator must complete the user verification process, but only the owner must complete company verification.
A few details to note:
- These verification steps are only required for companies making payments through Roger, meaning their Payments component is switched on.
- After completing user verification, an owner/admin can make payments totaling up to $5,000 before they're required to complete the company verification.
To complete the User verification steps as either a company owner or administrator, navigate to Settings > Verifications. Below is a summary of each step.
1. Mobile verification
When you click Verify, you'll be prompted to enter your mobile number, and a verification code will be sent to your phone instantaneously. As soon as you enter the code correctly, you'll be all set with this step.
2. Email verification
When you click Verify, an email will be sent the address you signed up with containing a link to verify your email. Click the link, and you'll be redirected to a page confirming that this step is complete.
3. Identity verification
Lastly, we've teamed up with ID verification experts at Onfido to walk you through an ultra-secure individual identification process. To complete this step, you'll just need a digital copy of some form of physical identification (i.e. passport, driver's license), as well as access to your computer's web cam. The whole process shouldn't take longer than a few minutes.

As the Roger account owner, you'll need to verify your company's legitimacy in addition to the individual identity verification steps above. For this process, there are two steps:
1. Company EIN
Click Verify and you'll be prompted to simply enter your company's legal name, as well as EIN number. It will appear as Pending until our system verifies the accuracy of this information (within a day or two).
2. Owner Documents
Lastly, you must submit official company documents to complete your company's verification. In the US, you'll be prompted to upload your company's Articles of Incorporation. Once submitted, this step will appear as Pending until our system verifies the documents' accuracy.
Once the above steps are complete, your team will be able to take advantage of Roger Payments and all of its capabilities: connecting your bank, setting up autopay, syncing payment records with your accounting software, and most importantly, ensuring on-time payments for all of your vendors.
